一、報考條件
1.中華人民共和國公民。
2.擁護中國共產黨的領導，願為社會主義現代化建設服務，品德良好，遵紀守法。
3.考生的學歷必須符合下列條件之一：
a) 具有國家承認的大學本科畢業學歷後，有三年或三年以上工作經歷者。
b) 已獲碩士、博士學位，並有兩年或兩年以上工作經歷者。
c) 獲得國家承認的大專畢業學歷後，有五年或五年以上工作經歷
4. 身體健康，符合規定的體檢標准。
二、附加條件
各校還可能在教育部門規定的MBA報考條件基礎上制定本校的報考條件。比如清華大學，對大專畢業生考生，要求有突出的工作業績（相關證明、業績報告），或者有達到學士學位水平的，與工商管理專業相關的論文 （1萬字以上）；須通過國家大學英語CET四級考試。所以，在報考某個學校以前要弄清楚它的附加條件。
三、備注
從2016年考試開始，在職工商管理碩士（MBA）納入研究生統考范圍，也就是說，在職工商管理碩士（MBA）和統招研究生考試時間、內容完全相同，原來每年10月gct管理類聯考正式退出歷史舞台。
